Title: *****Repeaters around the area UPDATED ! January 10 2016 !******* Post by: VE3 MUN on January 18, 2011, 08:28:43 PM Hey everyone, here is a list of repeaters that are around the area that are updated Some and most of the repeater directory books are NOT listing all the info they should.
*I am still updating this as time goes on, so check back often* *Last update: January/10/2016***** If your club has new repeater info, please e-mail me at Neon_lights2007@hotmail.com. Thanks Now Includes Digital Voice via Mototrbo, DSTAR, And APCO-25***** Don't forget: APRS-144.390- For voice use 100.0 HZ when close call is used. National simplex call channel (10 Meters)-29.600 National simplex call channel (6 Meters)-52.525 National simplex call channel (2 Meters)-146.520 National simplex call channel (70 Centimeters)-446.000 This listing is mapped out for the info you need to access these repeaters. first is the city/county/area, then your frequency, then your offset whether that be commonly 600hz (+) or (-), then the tone or CT tones required to access the repeater. Notes: WX-Weather alerts/updates and or repeater is used for active canwarn/skywarn nets. Also tune into 162.400,162.475, these are Environment Canada weather info frequencies. 162.4 is Windsor-Essex-Chatham-Kent-Lambton and Rondeau Provincial Park.162.55MHZ is Cleveland, 162.45MHZ is Michighan. Most newer radios like the Kenwood V71 have the instant WX alert options. It will alert you when an alert is sent out via a certain tone, this is usually found in menu turn it on or off, its usually off for default settings. Marine emergency channel- 16 or 156.8MHZ. Remember to use NATO Phonetic Alphabet when spelling out your name, boat call, ect when in an emergency and talking to Coast Guard. CanWarn-This is the net carried out by active CanWarn spotters, anyone who sees threatening weather or possible damage may join the net and give reports. SkyWarn-This is the American version of CanWarn IRLP-Internet Radio Linking Project, This informs you if the repeater has an active IRLP node. ECHOLINK-Same idea as IRLP, works the same, this informs you if the repeater has an active ECHOLINK node on it. Remote Sites- This means the repeater will be able to pick up hand held and mobile radios from a farther distance using cross-band repeat, hearing you on VHF-broadcasting you to the tower on a UHF linked frequency then re-broadcasting on the main repeater frequency. Commonly Used- This usually means that the repeater is either a main repeater or used for multiple uses EX, ARES, IRLP, ECHOLINK, CANWARN. ARES-Amateur Radio Emergency Service- this is another form for emergency communications and is usually used with and on IRLP. ARES nets are on Sunday and Wednesday evenings beginning at 8PM EST.
